does age matter?

It might be a cliche question but really, I won’t go all Lolita on you.

The question goes to all different challenges an individual is faced in his life. Lately I’ve been thinking how old I’m getting. Hold up! I’m still eighteen. But as look through my eighteen-year-old eyes to the different changes in the world, I’m starting to think how oddly mature and immature I could be.

Does age matter?

I wouldn’t know. Perhaps. The world is govern by laws and the laws says that there is a distinction between the old and the young. The term “of age” is considered highly important in the society. Birthday celebrations are held and anniversaries are upheld by cultures and communities as a wonderful tradition.

In a starving group of people with only few morsels of food to spare, the young one is prioritized. In a burning building, the first concern would be to save the children. On the other hand, the elders are looked up for advice due to their years. When all is lost and questions cannot be answered, usually the old ones are seeked out for help.

Does age matter?

Maybe not? In terms of love, why would you care if a little maid marries an old grandfather? Is love based on age? It does matter. In leadership and strength, does age matter? I suppose not, I myself has led far older men in dilemmas grand in difficulty.

Maturity.

Perhaps that’s what really matters. Knowing when to respect the old of their insights and appreciating the bright eyes of young ones. Understanding both young and old in how their minds work, how their hearts percieve the way of life.

I thing that’s what really matter.
